March 30, 2001: Ian Stevens from IRI

On my walk to work, I was near the Allegro Hotel on Randolph when someone called my name.   It was my co-worker, Ian Stevens.  He's from England and met his wife there through friends.  We walked the rest of the way to work together.   He didn't like his director, Jeff, so was glad to get Julia as our director.  He lived on Surf and Broadway, which was near my apartment on Oakdale.   He took the 156 bus down to work and the 'El' home.   He said I was leaving IRI at the right time in the midst of this transition.
